something new on the horizon

her journey

we decided together to document her journey through cancer. it's a huge chapter in her life and one that she will turn the pages from someday and see a remarkable woman who beat this ugly disease in such a determined and graceful way. i'm in awe of her daily. she's been so strong since the day she was dealt this trial. she has been nothing but positive and has a continuous smile on her face. she is such a beautiful example of strength and determination. two surgeries down, the start of chemo, radiation, more surgery to come and the words i still hear her say, "Bring it". love this girl. big. huge. thank you to Jess for helping me shoot these images. in your debt good friend.

la dolce vita

I was invited recently to celebrate lunch with a good friend on her birthday at an Italian restaurant called La Dolce Vita. I asked her what it meant. She replied, "the sweet life".
that's what comes to mind today. A Sweet Life.
I'm very grateful for dear friends and family. My life has been richly blessed with amazing people. Much more than I deserve.
I hope your thanksgiving is filled with lots of love, family, friends and fun filled memories.

on a side note:
when my sister comes to visit there is a lot of music and a lot of dancing... there is a dance off going in the kitchen with my girls and their aunt as i post this. so fun.

Jess, i don't think Isaac could be any cuter. so digging that batman heroism of his. gotta love little boys.
Jess is the mom of "Batman" and of course, "Robin". Can't have a batman without a robin or a batgirl, right? (That will be Jess's new nickname).

Lauren and Devon

they seem to mesh seamlessly. was fun to watch these two interact. they've got something special. enjoyed working with these two. they have a bright future ahead.
