my sister and her kids...

enjoyed playing with my little nephews and niece. we were missing two more kiddos (school, ya know). i'll grab some images of the other two soon.
this was just an impromptu, have a little fun in the fall sunshine and leaves. what kid doesn't love to get messy with a pile of leaves?
new blog site still on its way. taking much of my time to get it all sorted out;)

one word. HOME.

we survived. the drive that is. there's something to be said for that. i don't sit still very well. at all actually.
especially for 12+hrs. staring at sage brush and scrub oak. for hours. on end. not that sage brush isn't beautiful. because it is. for the first few minutes and then it begins to lose it's appeal.

think pink

Most of us are aware that October is Breast Cancer awareness month. There are races and fundraisers... pink merchandise to purchase to support the research of cancer.
Well, it hit home this time. I found out not too long ago that one of my dearest friends in this world was diagnosed with breast cancer. She means the world to me. She is my friend, my second shooter, my saving-grace, my saver's shopper, my mercedes-driving-beautiful lady. I was devastated when she delivered the news. She is strong. She is a fighter and I know she will be Just fine. I am incredibly thankful for great medical care. Im thankful for research and early detection.
In honor of my sweet friend, I want to share a link with you. Please help spread the word about breast cancer awareness. Be informed. Help where you can.

this is one of those shoots that i truly enjoyed. it was fun to shoot somewhere out of my normal range. i loved that the boys came with their favorite things. it was one of those days where i could stand back and capture a family exactly how they really are. thank you Niki.
